About Us
Bringing the Best Healthcare Together for Our Community.
MarinHealth includes three major entities – a hospital, foundation, and network of expert clinicians – and our combined offering provides North Bay residents with a wide spectrum of high quality services from health and wellness education to diagnosis to advanced treatment and beyond for injuries and illness of all kinds.
MarinHealth Medical Center
Formerly known as Marin General Hospital, and owned by the Marin Healthcare District, this beloved institution has been meeting our community’s healthcare needs since 1952 as an award-winning, full-service, not-for-profit hospital. Our mission — and our pride — is providing the people of Marin with the healing care they want and deserve.
Many Marin County residents choose to live here because they appreciate the healthy lifestyle and transformative natural environment. Our philosophy of care is very much in tune with these values. We are dedicated to treating the whole patient — mind, body and spirit, and our patient-centric approach to care focuses on each patient’s needs, goals, and satisfaction.
MarinHealth Medical Center offers advanced medical expertise, state-of-the-art technology, and treatments in an exceptionally healing environment. We also give our patients the opportunity to complement their medical treatment with Integrative Wellness services.
In Fall 2020, we opened our state-of-the-art Oak Pavilion a best-practices environment that enables our medical teams to do their best work and improve patient outcomes.
MarinHealth Medical Network
Formerly known as Prima Medical Foundation, MarinHealth Medical Network is the medical foundation that represents the expert clinicians and physicians who practice at MarinHealth clinics (previously identified as Prima or Marin Healthcare District Health Centers). MarinHealth Foundation
Formerly known as Marin General Hospital Foundation, this essential fundraising organization works tirelessly to inspire philanthropy from donors large and small. The Foundation’s important work provides invaluable support for key hospital service lines, and for the construction of our new hospital building, opening 2020.
