Long-time Marin General Hospital Chairman of the Hospital Foundation and Hospital Operating Board Andrea Schultz Honored with a Spirit of Marin Award
GREENBRAE, CA — Marin General Hospital (www.maringeneral.org), an independent provider of health care services in Marin County, today announced that Andrea Schultz, chair of the Marin General Hospital Foundation Board of Directors and member of the Hospital Operating Board, was selected by the Marin County Chambers of Commerce to be recognized and celebrated for outstanding achievements that exemplify a professional and civic commitment and significantly benefit the Marin County community. Since its inception 22 years ago, the Spirit of Marin Award that was presented to Schultz this past Friday at a luncheon hosted by the Bank of Marin, has been presented to nearly 200 leading citizens and businesses for their visionary leadership, professional excellence, and above all, deep commitment to the community.
“I am delighted to be honored by the main Chambers of Commerce for my heartfelt contributions to the community and to Marin General Hospital, a place that helps so many in this community and has been so important to my family,” said Schultz, who was initially nominated by the Larkspur Chamber of Commerce.
Born at Marin General Hospital and raised in Greenbrae, Schultz has long been involved in her community, serving on the board of the Marin Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the advisory board of Dominican College, fundraising chair of the Marin Rowing Association Junior Program, as president of the Schultz Foundation, an active foundation which seeks to enrich the community through philanthropy and local events, and various roles within the Kentfield School District. She currently sits on the Community Advisory Committee of the Bank of Marin and has done so since 2010.
Ms. Schultz holds a BA in business administration from Washington State University. She has served as president & CEO at Greenbrae Management, a commercial, office and multi-residential property management firm, since 2006. Prior to that she served as vice president and senior manager. She has been with the firm for over 25 years.
