MarinHealth Launches New Podiatric Sports Medicine Practice
Local podiatrist, James B. Robison, MD, brings specialized talent to MarinHealth Medical Network
MarinHealth today announced the opening of a new specialty clinic: MarinHealth Podiatric Sports Medicine | A UCSF Health Clinic. Located in San Rafael, the new clinic will be led by James B. Robison, MD, and his staff. Prior to joining MarinHealth, Dr. Robison led Marin Foot & Ankle in Mill Valley, where he served Marin County’s foot and ankle needs for more than 30 years. The new clinic represents an expansion of MarinHealth’s strategic alliance with UCSF Health and will share space with MarinHealth Orthopedic Care | A UCSF Health Clinic.
Dr. Robison is a recognized expert in foot and ankle conditions. He specializes in human biomechanics, gait and motion analyses, and orthotic fabrication. He maintains a hands-on approach in treatment of disease and injury of the foot and ankle. An avid sports enthusiast with a clinical interest in injured athletes, he has perfected the art and science of conducting a thorough assessment. He combines critical findings of stance, motion, and joint and muscle issues to develop a customized solution based on body type, fitness level, and lifestyle. He also oversees all orthotic adjustments at an on-site orthotic lab, thus ensuring accuracy and speed of turn-around.
The clinic’s aim is the quick resolution of symptoms with the goal of returning patients to an active lifestyle. With a specific interest in optimizing performance for athletes, he strives for conservative treatments whenever possible. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and has been named Top Doctor by Marin Magazine since 2014.
