MarinHealth’s First Urgent Care in Sonoma County Will Open for Patients on February 1

New Location at Washington Square Shopping Center in Petaluma to Offer Residents a Convenient Location for Non-Emergent Medical Treatment

MarinHealth is excited to announce the opening of its first Urgent Care clinic in Sonoma County, set to open on February 1, 2025, at the Washington Square Shopping Center, 335 S. McDowell Blvd in Petaluma. This new clinic will be part of MarinHealth's broader network, which includes more than 60 primary and specialty care clinics across the North Bay and an additional existing Urgent Care clinic in San Rafael.

Open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with plans to expand hours to Sundays soon, and eventually open on weekdays as well, MarinHealth’s Urgent Care clinic in Petaluma will offer walk-ins for those individuals with conditions that don’t require an emergency room visit but need prompt attention. Skilled MarinHealth clinicians will be available to treat various illnesses and injuries, from common colds and flu to cuts, sprains, and rashes.

“We know that when it comes to urgent care, both quality care and convenience matter,” said Dr. David Klein, CEO of MarinHealth. “With this new clinic, we’re making it easier for the Petaluma community to access trusted, expert care without having to travel far.”

Patients ages three months and up can receive treatment for conditions such as upper respiratory infections, sore throats, asthma, allergies, insect bites, minor fractures, and more. On-site rapid testing will also be available for flu, strep throat, UTIs, and other common illnesses, and patients can also receive referrals to MarinHealth’s world-class specialists as needed.

The Urgent Care clinic will be housed within the MarinHealth Multispecialty Clinic, which opened in December 2024 and boasts 28 private exam rooms and a full range of specialty services, including cardiology, OB/GYN, primary care, and others. The facility also includes cardiac testing and an advanced imaging center for X-rays and ultrasounds.

Patients will be able to access their medical information and communicate with providers through MyChart, MarinHealth’s secure online portal.
