Alyssa Lo, MD
Alyssa Lo, MD is a board-eligible Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She was born at MarinHealth Medical Center and raised in Marin County, where she attended Archie Williams High School. She was recruited to play Division I Water Polo at Stanford University where she won two NCAA Championships and graduated with a B.A. in Human Biology. She went on to obtain her Medical Doctorate degree from UC Irvine School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her residency at LAC+USC (Los Angeles General Medical Center) where she was elected Administrative Chief Resident and inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
Dr. Lo fell in love with the field of Ob-Gyn while working with Dr. La Follette as a pre-medical student. She is passionate about obstetrics and gynecology and loves having close relationships with her patients where she can share in their life journeys. She is interested in high-risk obstetrics, vaginal birth after cesarean, birth control, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, as well as management of abnormal uterine bleeding and routine preventative care. She is excited to be serving the women of Marin County and to be working in the community where she grew up.
Dr. Lo has privileges at MarinHealth Medical Center, Novato Community Hospital and California Pacific Medical Center.
In her free time, she loves hiking on Mt. Tam with her husband and dog, binging the latest episodes of Top Chef or re-watching any movie from the Marvel Universe. She is a foodie who enjoys exploring cultures through cuisine and makes a mean chicken stir fry (a Lo family specialty).
