Andrea A. Ngo, MD
Thank you for visiting my webpage.
I grew up in the Bay Area and did my undergraduate studies close to home at UC Berkeley. After graduating with Distinction in Molecular Cell Biology, I ventured east to New York City and completed my medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. I am truly appreciative of the excellent education I received at Einstein, but missed the temperate California climate, so returned to the Golden State for residency at UC Irvine. Ultimately, after having lived on both coasts, I decided that home is still the San Francisco Bay Area. I have been practicing as a hospitalist physician locally for the last fifteen years.
As a hospitalist physician, I strive to provide the most comforting and least stressful hospital experience for my patients. I realize that being in the hospital can be traumatic, even frightening. My job is to work with other providers and ancillary support staff to ensure that my patients receive the best possible care in a supportive, healing environment. I see this as a collaborative effort, a partnership with my patients and their families. I hope you will not need to be hospitalized. But if you do, I will do my best to ensure your hospital experience be one that you can look back on favorably.
I believe that good health is achieved by eating a healthy balanced diet, exercising regularly, avoiding excess of substances, recognizing the mind-body connection and the importance of periodic recharging. Ultimately, it is about being good and respectful to oneself and taking responsibility for one’s own health.
