Elijah Verheyen, MD
Dr. Elijah Verheyen completed both his postgraduate training in Gastroenterology & Hepatology fellowship and Internal Medicine residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Health System in New York City. He graduated magna cum laude from St. George’s University School of Medicine with a distinction in research. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Behavioral Neuroscience, graduating magna cum laude from Quinnipiac University.
Dr. Verheyen practices general Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with a special interest in Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Liver Disease, and Colon Cancer Screening and Prevention. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors, biking, skiing, and spending time with family and friends.
