Harry Neuwirth, MD
Dr. Neuwirth joined MarinHealth Urology in 1989. He received his BS, cum laude, in molecular biophysics and biochemistry from Yale University and earned his MD at Johns Hopkins University. He completed his four-year residency in urology and his two-year residency in surgery at UCLA. Dr. Neuwirth’s previous academic appointments include: Urology Research Fellow, UCLA School of Medicine’s Urology Division; Assistant Chief, Urology Section at Wadsworth VA Medical Center; and Assistant Professor of Surgery, UCLA School of Medicine.
In addition to his board certification in urology, Dr. Neuwirth also holds certifications in extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL); operative laparoscopy; and contigen injection therapy. He is a member of numerous medical societies, including the American Association of Clinical Urology; American Urological Association, California Medical Association; the Society of Laproendoscopic Surgeons; and the American College of Physician Executives.
Dr. Neuwirth’s clinical and research interests include prostate, bladder and kidney cancer. He has co-authored numerous medical articles on these topics and served as reviewer of a variety of related publications in scientific journals including Investigative Urology, Cancer, Contemporary Urology, and the Journal of Urology.
