Peter Smith, MD
Dr. Peter Smith received his MD degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine before going on to his Diagnostic Radiology residency at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Smith completed his medical training at the Weill-Cornell Medicine Interventional Radiology program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in New York, NY, which also included sub-specialized Interventional Oncology training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Dr. Smith has a special clinical interest in Interventional Oncology, including both percutaneous tumor ablative procedures and intra-arterial treatments, including chemoembolization, bland embolization, and radioembolization with Y-90 particles. He also specializes in minimally invasive therapies such as uterine fibroid embolization, prostate artery embolization, and deep venous interventions.
