Priscilla Joy S. Navarro, MD
My name is Joy, and I like to think I try to live up to my name. I’ve wanted to be a doctor since I was young. As a child, it was about wanting to help other people. When I was at school and in training, I realized that I liked learning, particularly about science and medicine. As I grew into my profession, it became more than that: the more I interacted with patients, the more I realized that managing their illnesses is just part of the treatment. I genuinely enjoy spending time with my patients and learning about their lives. Knowing that I bring them a measure of comfort during their recovery brings me joy.
I love the outdoors, and enjoy walking my dogs, biking and exploring the woods and trails here in Marin. When I get time off, I enjoy exploring the world at large, and I spend most of my vacations traveling, taking pictures, having new experiences. A beach bum at heart, my restless feet are always soothed by a swim and a quiet moment by the beach.
