Ray Brindley, MD
I joined the Marin Hospitalist Medical Group in 1999 and am its longest standing member. Though my early education had involved medical research, I later chose hospital medicine, which was a new field at the time, for the opportunity it gives to help others in times of crisis. Having seen hospital medicine evolve over the years, I have become particularly interested in the issues of maintaining hospital safety and in understanding the patient experience of hospitalization.
When the busy life of medicine allows, I spend my time with music. My family were musicians in the South, and I continue to perform on stages in Marin and more broadly in the Bay Area. Marin’s musical legacy is one of its great attractions, and I am fortunate to have this outlet for seeking balance with my career.
