Susan Sun, MD
My career began at Kaiser South San Francisco in 1993, where I cared for patients in the outpatient clinic as well as in the hospital. I gravitated toward the challenges of hospital-based medicine and became a full time hospitalist in 1997. I worked in Albuquerque, New Mexico or 11 years before returning to Northern California and settling in Marin in 2009. The practice of hospital medicine has changed tremendously over the last 20 years, however what has remained constant is the sense of satisfaction I have when I am able to help patients navigate through the most critical phases of their illness towards recovery.
I was born in Taipei, Taiwan but immigrated to the Washington D. C. area when I was 5 years old. Although I have lived in the East, Northeast and Southwest, I have found the cultural as well as geographic diversity of the Bay Area most to my liking. When not at work, I enjoy exploring Marin and spending time with my family.
