I am a general internist who focuses exclusively on hospital medicine. I enjoy the challenges and rewards that go along with supporting patients and their families through acute medical illness. Hospitalist work requires skillful collaboration, excellent communication skills, careful judgement, and the ability to analyze a large quantity of data efficiently and accurately. I work closely with nursing staff and physician consultants in an effort to restore patients to health. When perfect health proves elusive, I offer support, education, and guidance in order to help patients and families understand available treatment options and clarify goals of medical care. As intense as hospital medicine can be at times, it is always stimulating, engaging, and gratifying.

Away from work, I enjoy travel, hiking, yoga, and time with my family.
