Cancer Care
Personalized Care
Our multispecialty team is here for you and your family through every stage of cancer care. From diagnosis to treatment and recovery, we provide truly excellent care, in a healing environment. Our services include cancer prevention and screening, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. We believe in a holistic approach to care that focuses on healing the whole person - mind, body, and soul. Watch David Gullion, MD, former Medical Director of the Integrative Wellness Center, share the importance of integrative care as an aid during recovery from cancer.
A Leading-Edge Cancer Program
It would be challenging to find someone whose life has not been touched by cancer, either as a patient or as the friend or relative of a patient. Millions of people are currently battling the disease or have in the past, and millions of new cases of cancer are diagnosed every year. Fortunately for our patients, advanced care is available right here at MarinHealth, and our program has earned many awards and accreditations we have received. We offer the advantages of an academic cancer program, delivered in a more convenient, intimate setting.

A Collaborative Team of Experts
All of our specialists are board certified, and many trained at top medical schools including Stanford and UCSF. They have chosen to practice at MarinHealth℠ because our easily navigated campus and patient-centric culture allow them to spend more time with their patients. Because cancer treatment usually involves multiple approaches, our specialists collaborate and coordinate with each other so that our patients have an entire team of experts concentrating on their care. -
Outstanding Outcomes
By integrating the highest level of care with rehabilitation, supportive care, and holistic complementary services, our Cancer Care program achieves outstanding results. -
Technology
We are committed to maintaining a technological edge, with truly state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic tools. Our Radiation Oncology Suite has the latest technologies, and we currently have some of the nation’s leading diagnostic equipment, including stereotactic radiosurgery and the Varian TrueBeamTM radiotherapy system.
Support Groups
Living with cancer and undergoing treatment for the disease can be an isolating experience. Well-meaning friends and loved ones often have a difficult time understanding what you’re really going through, which can make it harder to talk about. At MarinHealth, we host many cancer support groups where patients and family can meet with others who are dealing with similar problems. During group meetings, you will have a chance to hear the kinds of experiences other people have had while sharing your own. Call our Integrative Wellness Center for more information.
Fighting cancer is not something you need to do alone. Studies show, and our patients also attest, that having support from others going through the same experience can be healing and comforting.
Tumor Boards and Conferences
Our Cancer Boards review the diagnosis and treatment plan of our cancer patients. This multidisciplinary board includes pathologists, surgeons, radiologists, radiation oncologists, and medical oncologists. Our Genitourinary Tumor Board meets twice a month, General Tumor Board meets weekly, and our Breast Tumor Board meets weekly to review all newly diagnosed cases. Many cases undergo multiple reviews while treatment is underway. The patient’s primary care physicians are encouraged to attend.
