Spiritual Care
MarinHealth's Spiritual Care Department is a non-sectarian program which provides support to patients and families wishing to incorporate their beliefs, faith, culture, and values into their healing and well-being.
Regardless of our faith or personal belief system, we all experience times when we need comfort and spiritual support. Patients and their families can look to our chaplains for a listening ear, and for compassion and solace when experiencing anxiety, fear, and grief. Our chaplains are happy to see anyone, regardless of faith tradition or lack thereof. They work closely with the Palliative Care team and are members of MarinHealth’s Bioethics Committee.
Our Chaplains are available to:
- Listen and provide spiritual and emotional support
- Accompany those in crisis or grief
- Pray and facilitate religious practices
- Help with completing Advance Health Care Directives
- Make referrals to and coordinate with community clergy
- Counsel and support hospital staff
If you have a spiritual request, would like a listening ear, or just desire a peaceful presence, please don’t hesitate to contact us. You’re going through a lot. But you don’t have to go through it alone. We are on campus Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. You can ask your nurse to contact us or you can call our team at: 1-415-925-7147.
